  • Registration
    Click ‘Register’ on the top-right of the webpage and fill out the form.
  • Deregistration
    After signing in, click ‘My Account’ located on the top-right.
    This page allows users to change account details.
    Clicking ‘Unregister’ will remove your account from the database.

  • This message shows up in the event of the following.
    Please contact your administrator.
    1. Server PC that has the floating license installed has been shut down.
    2. Internet connection problems for the server PC.
    3. Floating license has been expired.

  • This message shows up in the event of the following:
    1. Nodelock License has been expired.
    2. The Hostname or MAC address of the PC does not match to the registered Nodelock License.

  • Nodelock License
    – License that confirms the user’s PC using Hostname and MAC address.
    – This license can only be used for a single PC.
  • Floating License
    – License that confirms server PC using IP address.
    – As long as the IP address is available, the number of copies registered in the license can be used on any PC.
    – A server PC must have the PLServer (License manager) installed.

  • PIAnO sampler supports a feature “Select Automatically”.
    This feature suggest the user with an appropriate DOE when provided with information on the following: objective of DOE, number of levels, possible number of evaluations.

  • PIAnO supports a feature called “Remotejob”.
    This feature helps users integrate PIAnO in a client PC to a CAE tool in a server PC for design optimization.

  • Design optimization is a numerical process of finding the values of input variables while meeting design requirements and defined limitations.
  • Conventional design process is based on designer’s know-how which makes prompt problem solving possible. However, when the number of design variables and requirements increase, it becomes harder to derive a solution. Additionally, the obtained solution may only be an adequate design.
  • Design optimization uses optimization techniques which helps engineers achieve much higher performances while satisfying the requirements. It can also be automated which greatly increases work efficiency.
